Kingston Canadian Film Festival
The Kingston Canadian Film Festival was celebrating its 25th anniversary for this year's promotional material. The client emphasized that the goal was to create something bold and vibrant to excite the audience about the festival. The poster's focal point is the train and roll of film it is sitting on. The 1095 train is located in the heart of downtown Kingston. I incorporated a film cleanse instead of a headlight at the front of the train to communicate the film to the audience further. Transforming the traditional train tracks into a stylized roll of the film effectively merged the themes, emphasizing the storytelling journey through the film of Canadian. Overall, the promotional material utilizes visual hierarchy and composition techniques to excite the audience about the festival and celebrate its 25th anniversary.
